Schofields 118 (D Mayes 4/23; A Boorer 2/14; P Frost 2/39; Mason 1/0; McConnachie 1/18) defeated by OICC 8/119.

Schofields had only 1 batsman (Yogi 44) provide any resistance to excellent bowling from the Redmen, in particular, Dorny Mayes taking 4/23 off his 8 overs. He was well supported by his opening partner CMac taking 1/18, and AB Boorer 2/14.

Good to see G Butler (B3) back landing his leggies, and the Iceman, Frosty (2/39).

Yogi returned at the fall of Schofields 9th wicket, and Maso (1/0) only needed 3 balls to remove him, leaving a target of 118.

It wasn’t all smooth sailing.

CMac (1) went in the 6th over with Eric the Eel Eriksson already on 17 (1/19). Dorny (5) fell the next over, and the ship was then steadied by Mason (29) who put on 41 with the Eel, until the Eel fell for 39, continuing his great form for 2024/5.

We were now 3/65 looking in control at the ½ way mark.

Greenie (9) began well until being BBQued by his skipper, Maso.

The jitters started and we lost 5 for about 50, to be 8 down, with Lord Bass falling for 14, Fordie (6) and JMac (0).

Frosty (4*) & G Butler (0*) steered us home in the 39th over.
