Thanks to an 11th hour withdrawal of J Packman, Frawley and his broken foot was called upon.
With only 10 fieldsman for the first 19 overs, Hunters Hill failed to take advantage against the ever miserly CMac McConnachie (0/11 off his 1st 6) and AB Boorer (0/16 off his 1st 6), before Dorny entered the fray with a wicket from his 1st ball.
AB (0/18 from 8) bowled himself to a standstill.
Hunters Hill paddled along for the next 6 overs to be 2/49 at the break, with Richard Dixon returning for his 2nd OICC game and taking his 1st wicket.
Dorny continued to bowl his 8 from the other end ending with 3/18 in a fine display of bowling. At the other end Dicko, whose 8 overs were interrupted by 1 over of fast off spin nude balls by Eric the Eel (0/1), continued to stem any runs, moving the ball in, seaming it away and finishing with an ultra impressive 5/20 from his 8. We need Dicko to play more. He bowled many unplayables, but one ball swung in through the air, pitched middle/leg, seamed away and cleaned up the batsman’s off stump. Totally unplayable.
Maso, as usual brought himself to clean up the tail, and did just that finishing with 2/15 off 5, and CMac rounded it out finishing with 0/16 off his 8.
Hunters Hill were all out in the 38th over for 101.
Thankfully, OICC suffered none of the same jitters as last game.
CMac (14) and Eric the Eel got us off to a flier, with CMac falling in the 7th over with score on 36. The Eel (32) & Dorny (29) put on a solid 30, before Eel holed out in the 14th with the score 2/68. Dorny fell 2 overs later 3/81 in the 16th.
Maso continued his good form and red inks with 15*, while Nirav (12*) supported him beautifully finishing the game in the 19th over with 2 go to shots over square leg for 4.
Max points and a 3rd win on the trot for Masters.
