Taronga Sat 19 Dec v West Epping at Cox Park, Carlingford

The last game of 2025 was a T20 v West Epping

On another hot day we lost the toss and were asked to bat first.   With quick runs the order of the day it was an excellent all round batting display by Taronga. In our 20 overs we scored 7/147 – with Romo, opening the batting (27), Jess (29), Shero (13), Big Show (21 – including a huge six over fine leg) and Jacko 19no. West Pymble would have to bat well to win and they made a decent start with 0/51 off 8 – with one opener pulling out all the T20 shots  - ramping, switch hitting, reverse sweeps – at one point he hit 2 consecutive sixes off Romo switch hitting to the point boundary.  But then Shero (3-12 off his 4 overs) and Angad (2-22 off his) allowed us to gain control and move towards the six points.  West Epping made 9/117.  A very decent win for us
