CLASSICS vs Hawkesbury – Round 2 MATCH REPORT – 27/10/2024

OICC Classics 6/175 defeated Hawkesbury 174. 

JMac did a hammy early on.. we lost the toss and were bowling on a sultry 27degs Ryde Int'l day.. given the state of the outfield (patchy and lightning fast) and 10 fielders including several who are - let's just say "restricted".... We restricted them to 174 all out with an over or so to go... Fabulous debut to Nirav who is an OICC lad from Taronga. Bowled a lovely set of left arm meds and took 3/30 (7).. and fielded really well too. Neil McLeod 2/27(8) also bowled his offies with guile and bounce. A beautiful Ryde Int'l wicket btw... Batting paradise so it was good to restrict Hawks to 174. Special mention to Macca who WK beautifully taking 2 brilliant stumpings & 2 catches at the wicket. Coming in to bat, Iggies had Fordey who smoked his first few directly to the infield. He departed for 5 and Bass for donut. McLeod came in and retired on 30 with us at 1/30. He faced about 12 or 13 balls. Explosive 🧨🧨🧨 

Nirav & Toal smashed it everywhere and promptly retired on 30* also... Frawls hot a breezy 28 and got caught at cover. Macca iced the game early with 23*. OICC 6/175 in the 32nd over. Good win fellas. N Garling.
