For the third week in a row, OICC Rorke lost the toss and were sent into bat - a result they were hoping for anyway.
OICC debutant and opener Lachie Hordern-Smith made a fine return to the crease for the first time since year six. He played the ball to all parts with the Puma Wonderstick, working his way to a well compiled 31 while wickets fell around him.
Kris Mason came in at 6 and batted brilliantly. Playing the ball along the ground, he got his way to 50* just before the team was bowled out for 143.
Going into the field, the boys knew early wickets and dot balls were the way back into the game. Two overs of fast-bowling heat from Chuck Christie saw the opener go cheaply, courtesy of a sensational catch from debutant Marco Vecchio running back with the flight.
Alex Harvey and Charlie McKay bowled in a handy partnership, Harvey very economical with 7 overs 0-19, and Charlie taking 3-19 off his 7.
Rovers 4-48 at drinks, the boys were well back in the game.
However, despite further wicket taking from Mike Mason and another great catch from Vecchio - an instinctive one handed dive at short cover - a brilliant knock from their number 7 guided Rovers home by 2 wickets in the penultimate over.
